The Holocaust Museum of Oporto is one of the few Holocaust

museums in the world that is run by a Jewish community.

The Holocaust Museum in Oporto has the following objectives:
- Teaching the Holocaust to the general public and to school students;
- Ensuring the Holocaust never happens again.

The Holocaust was the genocide of 5700,000 Jews in Europe,

including one and a half million children, during World War II.
